But here are just some of our all-time favourite Aussie holidays. Something for every traveller, every budget, and every time frame.

The Ghan train

Great Australia Train Journey: Darwin to Adelaide

Length of stay: 3 – 16 day options available
Perfect for: young through to old

With Australia being such an enormous continent divided by a desert and featuring landscapes from some of the world’s best beaches through to lush tropical rainforests, train journeys make sense. Our favourite is The Ghan which travels Adelaide to Darwin in either direction.

The Ghan is regarded as one of the great train journeys of the world, having voyaged its route for more than 90 years. Much has changed over the years, but today passengers can expect to travel in comfort through an awe-inspiring country.

On board, expect an enticing range of Australian wines, all-inclusive dining and spacious facilities. While off board there are a range of excursions to ensure your time in each place captures the very essence of the destination.

Itinerary options include Katherine, Kakadu National Park, Uluru, Alice Springs, Marla and more. For catalogue, itineraries or pricing contact us today.

Byron Bay sunset surf

Byron Bay

Length of stay: 5-7 days
Perfect for: Young families & groups of friends

This is our all-time favourite place to holiday in Australia. You don’t need a lot of time, but you will feel like you’ve had a break.

Byron Bay is known for laid back, hippy vibes. But that doesn’t mean its grime and grunge. Quite the opposite; Byron Bay is trendy and upmarket with plenty of cool, calm, and collected.

Set on the New South Wales coastline with two main stretches of beach means that right on Byron’s door step there is both swimming and surfing beach space available. A scenic walk from the village centre will take you through native bushland and up to the Eastern most tip of Australia, Cape Byron. Here you can glance down at the green ocean and observe turtles swimming wildly, dolphins and whales too.

We especially enjoy the blend of retailers in Byron Bay’s cool little village. Many quality boutiques with boho vibes begin their entrance to the world stage in Byron. Surf culture, crystals and art work; this is your spot! The village is mostly two busy little streets – super easy to slowly walk around. Then there is the food. Oh ma gawwwd we loooove Byron’s palate. Surely this is where Acai bowls originated? Expect nutritious, organic and oh so impressive.

At night there are oodles of funky restaurants to dine at and if you fancy a late night, the bar scene is vibrant too. For us these days though, we like to rise early and enjoy the beach and natural environment.

Byron Bay is easy to get to. Simply fly into Ballina Airport (which is tiny) and beside the baggage carousel is a selection of $20pp mini vans ready to you the 30min drive from the airport to your hotel in Byron village.

We can book your flights and accommodation, and if you’re looking for a beach holiday that has literally everything to offer including convenience. This has got to be your choice.

Beach in Far North Queensland

Far North Queensland: Port Douglas and Beyond

Length of stay: 7 – 10 days
Perfect for: All ages

One of the most scenic parts of Australia, this holiday is perfect for outdoor types who enjoy self-driven excursions, as well as the restaurant and café scene.

We love the freedom of using Port Douglas as a base to explore the exquisite far North Queensland coastline. This has to be an area we think is one of the most scenic parts of the globe.

Port Douglas is a sophisticated port town about 30mins North of the major city, Cairns. With a main street featuring boutiques, cafes, restaurants and bars, the evenings can easily be spent wandering the vendors and relaxing with a nice meal and glass of pinot.

Four Mile Beach, on Port Douglas’ doorstep is a long stretch of sandy swimming beach, while the port offers fishing day trips and snorkelling excursions to the reef.

As enjoyable as Port Douglas town is, what enhances this holiday even more is the scenery further north. With Australia’s roads being easily drive away, hiring a rental car and exploring famous spots like Cape Tribulation and The Daintree promises to truly impress. This is known to be the only place in the world where rainforest meets coastline and you can expect stunning beaches, lush nature and novel wildlife.

A Port Douglas and Far North Queens holiday is easy. Simply fly into Cairns International Airport and collect a hire car. Then drive 30mins north to Port Douglas and choose the days you stay local, wander the town, or drive to the sites, scenery and impressive North Queensland attractions. We can take care of all your bookings plus give you plenty of tips of where to visit and what to do while you’re there too!

Ayers Rock

Uluru (Ayers Rock)

They say that the moment you set foot on Ayers Rock National Park you’ll recognise the spiritual elements that come with the area. This is one special place, deeply ingrained in native Australia.

The iconic rock is no longer open for climbing but day trips circumnavigating the rock, observing, and learning about the indigenous people and site, will make a memorable holiday.

The purpose-built town within the area (Yulara) has plenty of accommodation, including glamping, and shops, souvenirs, art and restaurants. There is a camp ground in the area too.

We recommend flying into Ayers Rock airport and staying at one of the hotels. Transfers are normally included and tours or excursions can depart from your hotel. Reach out for a quote and tick off this iconic Aussie adventure.
